Unsuccessful hermiting, drama in the Nichols household, and needing to vent

Dear Diary,
So, I spent a good chunk of the day being irresponsible and hermiting myself from the world (even from Anne – you should have heard the Velcro-ripping sound when we unattached), and basically had the time of my life. I usually don’t like to be alone, but sometimes I just needs it. Besides, I know tomorrow is going to ridiculously busy, especially since it’s approaching the end of the month. I figured I needed to completely decompress before I started it. So I blew off the GameCube, popped in Twilight Princess, and jumped on the couch with my trusty bag of cheese balls.
And then Natalie came over.
There is an entire… situation between her, my brother, and my brother’s ex-girlfriend (a recent author herself) that I haven’t touched upon in the pages of my Diary because, well, it’s not my business to put out there. No matter how badly I want to, especially since I’ve been caught in the middle since it all sparked off and I really need a place to vent.
But unfortunately, this is not the place.
Anyway, Natalie came over because she needed to talk, so talk we did. All. Fricking. Day. I’m not really complaining, especially since she’s more than my assistant: she’s one of my best friends, and a gem of a person to boot. But the drama in the Nichols household is a genuine thing lately. Hell, my brother isn’t even in the United States at the moment – which is why I haven’t been talking about him in my Diary much, and why Anne and I have been hanging out so often.
We talked. And talked. And then talked some more. And cried. A little.
God, there’s so much I want to say!
Anyway, I need to go scream at the wall for a while.
Tomorrow, my loves…
